Our Robert Burns pocket diary for 2020, 21st in the series, is a very important issue. It focuses on Burns' visit in 1781 to Irvine where he met a sailor called Richard Brown who gave him advice that significantly changed the poet's life.
Had Burns not gone to Irvine and had not met Brown, perhaps he would have continued the back-breaking toil of a farmer labouring in the fields and leaving this world in total obscurity. Fortunately he made the trip and we tell the story of what happened!
The diary is beautifully produced in a padded gold blocked cover with gold page edges, metal corners, perforated inside pages, silk ribbon marker and is also available in a burgundy cover. A quality gift!
